Big Red Car here. The Boss is wandering around on Daufuskie Island — apparently the most relaxing place he has been in a recent series of very relaxing places.
Spotty cell phone service and weak Internet service but I think that may all be a subterfuge to avoid and ignore the rest of the world. He can be like that sometimes.

So, I’ve been thinking about fairy tales — those stories told by, well, fairies to ‘splain things and to provide cute analogies.
Big Red Car here. Bit sunny here in the ATX and going to be 103F today. Going to be over 100F for the rest of August — bring it, Mothah Nature, bring it.
But it is only 18 days until the first Longhorn football game on 31 August v New Mexico State. Of course, it is a night game and should only be 98F by 7:00 PM. Those boys from the New Mexico will have no problem handling the heat, Mothah Nature has not been cutting them any slack this summer.
Big Red Car here. Well, The Boss got skunked on the tarpon in Key Largo. [Kind of like to see The Boss get his butt knocked in the dirt from time to time. Good for him to learn a bit of humility, haha. Watch yourself, Big Red Car.]

Big Red Car here. The Boss is still trying to catch a tarpon — The Boss 0, Tarpon 5 — and is getting whiffed pretty bad. Haha — ooops, why am I laughing?
Anyway there are things going on in the world in which the United States is getting whiffed also.
Big Red Car here. Sorry that I have been so out of touch for the last three days but The Boss has been in Key Largo and has been trying to catch a tarpon.

Big Red Car here. Going to be a great day. Me and The Boss have already been for a good swim. I let The Boss swim while I keep an eye on things.
This morning, clear and when The Boss looked out his office window, there was the UT Tower shining bright in the before dawn light.
It doesn’t get better than this — On Earth as it is in Texas, ya’ll!
Big Red Car here. Well, I was as stunned as you were when I heard that the President had cancelled his Martha’s Vineyard “rich & beautiful” vacation to vacation in Detroit.
Talk about putting one’s money where one’s mouth is. Good on ya, Mr President.
