The Boss was chatting with one of his CEO clients and the CEO was weaving a tale of some element in his firmament that had gone awry.
Big Red Car here. Well it will be a good day here in the ATX — 90F and the pattern leading to summer is upon us. But, hey, we love a bit of sunshine and warm weather now don’t we?
Because we can put the top down and run like a scalded dog out and about. Haha, Big Red Car, you are a hoot. To yourself anyway, Big Red Car.
Big Red Car here. Nice cool morning here in the ATX. Yesterday I was fibbing about the quality of the day — it was cloudy. Too much Chamber of Commerce for the Big Red Car, sorry.
So this morning The Boss is out with one of his CEOs talking him down off the ledge. CEOs allow themselves to get a bit exercised sometimes and need a bit of tough love to get them back into the traces.

The Boss was up before dawn and had his breakfast and was hard at work on a new deal he is working on. An exciting new startup business. Which brought me to the notion of leadership and, in particular, leadership in a crisis

Big Red Car here. The Boss is out drinking coffee early this morning. He loves the 7:00 AM meeting at Austin Java. He gets a 3-shot cappuccino and is wired for the rest of the morning.
Me, you ask, I am in the driveway with my top up because it is cloudy and a bit rainy. Rats. But you have to follow the rules. Speaking of rules, I have some of my own that I call the Big Red Rules.

Well, I had hoped that The Boss would not get involved in the gun debate but I also wanted a white Christmas in Austin. Not going to happen. Either one. So let me see if I can get his views down in print correctly.
