You are way too young, Grasshopper, to remember the 1981 Memorial Day floods when Shoal Creek was filled to overflowing with wrecked cars. Oh, that was a day.

Big Red Car here. What a day — bluebird, not a cloud in the sky. Crisp, cool.
But all is not well in the Big Red Car’s world. In one word: SEQUESTRATION.
Big Red Car here. So I am waiting for the sun to come out again. Waiting for that sunny day.
It got me thinking about all kinds of dark subjects. Like the debate on who should be taking the 3:00 AM phone call in the White House.
Big Red Car here. The Boss has been driving me hard because of the perfectly lovely weather here in the ATX. I love it. Wind whipping around and growling along.
So The Boss is talking with his friend about unemployment. Suddenly, The Boss says: “Cut the crap, unemployment is still a huge problem. Let me show you.”
Big Red Car here. Still drying out from the rains last night and today. We need the rain so I can’t complain. Who would listen anyway?
So I’m talking to a cute little Mercedes Benz convertible (top buttoned up, mind you). She lives with an accountant and we get talking about the cash flows of our country. Not politics, mind you, just how much is coming in and how much is going out and how much we are borrowing.
Big Red Car here. Still raining in Austin which puts me in a gloomy mood.
