Big Red Car here. So the weather in the ATX has improved just a bit today. Ahh, still not that sunny weather we’re looking for, Mothah Nature, you got some ‘splaining to do here.
So The Boss has had a recurring conversation with some of his brilliant CEOs.
Big Red Car here. Bit gloomy but we have a chance of rain for the next couple of days and that’s a good thing. We are ready for some rain.
So The Boss is talking to several of his brilliant CEOs and finds a common theme — they express regret that they have not been already doing something that they have just now started doing that is particularly effective.
Big Red Car here. Ahhh, The Boss had a terrific day of pressure washing <<<link here yesterday and is about half through with the backyard. Nice to see the Old Boy get his relaxation on from time to time. He seems so damn content.
So The Boss was visiting with one of his brilliant CEOs and with no prodding the CEO offered up that times were good and he hoped he did nothing to screw it up.
Big Red Car here. Ahhh, lots of rain and a bit cooler. Hell, it’s 51F right now but it’s going to 84F this afternoon and the sun is going to shine for a week or so. Ahh, bring the sun to the Big Red Car and let me bask in its glory.
So, through the years I have watched The Boss do his thing. And one of the things The Boss does is pressure washing. [Haha, I know what you’re thinking but this is a serious matter nonetheless. Yes, Old Sport, pressure washing.]
Big Red Car here. Wow, we had a very nice rain last night replete with lightning, thunder and wind. Ahhh, it was the best. We desperately need water to fill the area lakes. The lakes have been down a bit since 2011 but they are building back with the recent rains. In the last month, water levels are up almost four feet.
So today we finish up our discussion on the nature of Board duties. We began the discussion here <<<link, so check that prior post before launching into this one.
Big Red Car here. The Boss was up very early this morning and out to the lakehouse and back almost before dawn. He’s been a busy beaver these days.
He was meeting with someone who was trying to explain something to him that he believed was very simple. The Boss likes simple. In fact, he often says that he IS a simpleton meaning thereby that he likes simple things.
Big Red Car here. Bit wet in the ATX this morning. Nice little storm with a bit of Mother Nature’s lightning this morning. Even the rain in the ATX is good.
So further to the discussion of CEO and Board duties, the Big Red Car overheard the following.
Big Red Car here. Ahhh, the ATX is just glorious these days. Cool weather. Bright skies. Longhons crushing it.
Uhhh, well, two out of three isn’t bad, no? Poor Horns. But we did beat Oklahoma and that’s a huge deal.
