Trump, The Election, Some Thoughts

Trump. President-elect Trump.

The election is over. Long live the election. Now, the winner gets down to the serious business of forming a government and beginning to convert campaign promises into plans and policies and then laws. Then, they have to govern and react to the world at large.

Already, President-elect Trump has met with the leader of the Senate and the Speaker of the House. He has met with the President.

When you know how to build 100-story skyscrapers, you learn to make timely and critical decisions.

The President-elect has enunciated a plan for his first hundred days. You can see it here: THE FIRST HUNDRED DAYS <<< hyperlink, click on it

Trump – Example of Scaling Well?

Donald Trump and the Big Red Car here in the ATX — going to be another great day. On Earth as it is in Texas, y’all! [Haha, no Trump here.]

So, today, we turn ourselves to one Donald Trump as an exemplar of how a startup is able to grow and scale and deal with the issues of a startup enterprise. This is NOT a political commentary. It is about the startup business.

Trump, of course, is a businessman and has engaged in the Art of the Deal and the art of the spin off or side deal — Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump Breath Freshener, Trump Deodorant Footpads — you get the idea.

In fact, the Trump campaign is a spin off of his own massive ego, natural leadership ability, and hunger for power. That is NOT intended as a slight but rather a recitation of the truth without serving any homage to political correctness. As you well know, dear reader, Donald does not approve of political correctness, so we follow his lead here today.

NASCAR = Politics?

Big Red Car here in the aftermath of the Republican debate in Greenville, SC last night with some observations.

First, it was a Saturday night, the prelude to Valentine’s Day and one could feel the love in the air. I am betting that Donald Trump and his Melania are probably enjoying a nice brunch down in Charleston with Jeb and his bride right now. Think so?

The country needs to understand something and that something is called NASCAR and how it relates to politics.

Bernie v Hillary = When Ancient Battled Vintage?

Big Red Car here in the gray hours before the dawn contemplating the spectacle that was the Democrat debate in Milwaukee last night.

The next primary is in South Carolina, so let’s have a debate in…………………………………………..Milwaukee. How about Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Myrtle Beach? Huh?

The Big Red Car finds it odd that the progressive banner is being fought over by an ancient 74-year old white man and a vintage 69-year old white woman.

Talk about “old wine in new bottle”, eh?

But, there was some interesting observations made which bear acknowledging and commentary.

Donald Trump the Junk Food of Political Discourse?

Big Red Car here and thinking about Donald Trump.

Famously, the man has been supposed to have crashed and burned at least a hundred times since the adventure that is the Trump Presidential candidacy launched.

“This is the end of Trump!” Yes, yes, yes, yes, uhhh, no.

The GOPe, and any number of political operatives including fellas named Rove, have been taking a hit out on the guy for months, quarter years, half years. No bueno!

Then, the actual primaries were to have unmasked this charlatan. Not so much, as it turns out.

The Big Red Car is Exhausted by the Primaries

Big Red Car here fresh off watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Donald Trump pandering to the veterans. [Full disclosure, The Boss is a veteran and a graduate of Virginia Military Institute, the son of two veterans.]

Nice day — Hell, great day — here in the ATX. So good I almost don’t want to tell you about it. It is 53F headed to 75F this afternoon. Sunscreen, y’all. Sunscreen.

So, the Big Red Car is just worn out by all the bullshit associated with the primaries and the Iowa primary on Monday can’t get here quick enough.

Today, the Big Red Car is going to be on a rant about being exhausted by the primaries. Sorry.

Turn flames on NOW! Continue reading
