Big Red Car here. Well today is going to be a beauty in the ATX. Bit of a chill in the air at 60F this morning and maybe as low as the 40’s tonight. I am predicting the first wood fire of the season tonight. Haha, it is finally Fall in Texas. And it is glorious.
So The Boss is talking to one of his CEO clients and they are having a lively chat. On the way home, The Boss is thinking about one of his favorite traveling companions.
Big Red Car here. Well, my friends, it will be another day in paradise here in the ATX. Yesterday was gorgeous. Today will be gorgeous.
Crisp temperatures in the morning. Not quite cool enough to start hauling firewood but cool. Maybe next week we can start having a nice little fire in the evenings or mornings. We shall see.
Big Red Car here. Crisp cool morning in the ATX. It’s 45F looking for 75F later today. Ahh, on Earth as it is in Texas, ya’ll. Perhaps in Heaven as it is in Texas?
So, The Boss is talking to one of his brilliant CEOs and the CEO laments the difficulty of achieving balance in his life and work. It is a common refrain and The Boss has heard it before and will hear it again, I am sure. This is not a unique problem.
Big Red Car here. Early morning for The Boss who is up and about headed out to a meeting very early this morning.
Eavesdropped on a conversation between him and a political wiseman about the aftermath of the recent Government Slimdown. Lots of laughing.
Big Red Car here. It’s been raining in the ATX but we need the rain. Hell, it’s cold also. The Boss is talking about making a fire tonight, huh? Boss, that right?
Well The Boss is really irritated by the Senate “compromise” crafted by Senators McConnell and Reid.
Big Red Car here. We’ve been having a bit of rain here in the ATX. And that, Old Sport, is a very good thang as we are needing some more water in the lakes just now.

Big Red Car here. The Boss is back in town through the rest of the year — well, except for a visit to NYC and a couple of weeks of skiing in early December. The Boss likes that skiing. It’s already snowed in the Rockies.
This morning he was up early and had a conversation with one of his CEOs that he’s had about a thousand times — raising money. It’s what CEOs do whether they like it or not.
Most CEOs do not like raising money.
