Exclusive Interview With Joe Biden On Healing

Minding my own business and I get a phone call.

“This the Big Red Car?” the voice asks. Sort of gravelly like he was speaking through a mask or had just gotten up from a nap.

“Yes, sir. With whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?” I ask.

“This is Joe, a scrappy kid from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Joe Biden, President-elect of the United States of America. Want to talk to you, Big Red Car. Give you the benefit of my views on healing. You listening?”

“Well, sir, I am all ears. What shall we talk about?” I was admittedly a little anxious not knowing why he would have called me.

Reducing The Rancor

Beloved readers, you may have noticed that your Big Red Car has not communicated with you in slightly more than two weeks — the last time we spoke being 18 October 2020 whereon we spoke of the subject of whether America continues to product men:

Does America Still Produce Men?

So, Big Red Car, why?

Ahhh, dear reader, your Big Red Car did not want to add to the rancor of the times. I felt as if the issues of the day were sufficiently well laid out and discussed. It was an experiment.

How did the experiment feel, you Big Red Car?

OK, not great, not bad, just OK.

I did not miss it. I did not glory in it. I did it anonymously so as to avoid any misunderstood sense of virtue signaling.

I will say it gave me a bit more time to read the writings and utterances of others — which, frankly, left me unimpressed.

So, beloved reader, there you have it. I am back. Thank you to the several persons who inquired as to the state of my health. I am fine.

Be well, amigos.

Does America Still Produce Men?

Does American Still Produce Men?

Short blog post today, the answer is, unfortunately, “NO.” That’s all for today. Haha.

OK, I was just kidding. Sure America produces men even by the archaic yardstick I use to define manliness, but the real problem is we are not producing enough of them and we have lost our definition of what that means thereby producing incompletely finished men.

Sort of like making great cars, but forgetting to install an engine.

Why the Hell do we want men anyway, Big Red Car?

Damn good question. In these days of voluntary gender assignment and re-assignment with unlimited Mulligans, do we even need men?

Who needs a man when sperm banks have such easy withdrawal policies?

Take The Shot, Mr. President

So, here we stand on the edge of the precipice, at a pivotal moment in the history of our Republic with the entire fate of the Nation held hostage.

Bullshit. We aren’t even close to the precipice and this supposedly pivotal moment in the history of the Republic was all figured out by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution.

The only people alarmed are morons who have never read the Constitution.

Killing The Gig Economy

A lot of trends, suspect ideas, cultural quirks, and bad laws start in California and spread across the country.

Case in point is California Assembly Bill 5 which destroys the gig economy by imposing standards on the employer-employee relationship that prevent the gig economy from functioning in a manner as it currently does.

Lyft and Uber have both threatened to pull out of California if the law is not repealed in November.

Joe Biden supports California Assembly Bill 5 which effectively kills the gig economy and wants to pass a Federal law mirroring it. If you are a gig worker, take note.

Cal AB 5 came to life in December 2018 in response to controversy created by the employment of Lyft and Uber drivers, classic gig economy workers. These contract, independent contractor, 1099, gig workers are eliminated under the law that was passed in September 2019 and took effect in January 2020.

Killing 2020

We have three and a half months left in 2020, but I am already looking forward to New Years Eve to put this miserable year in its coffin — nail it shut, push it into a fire, watch it burn — ensuring it doesn’t escape the cleansing flames — rake up the ashes, bury them in unhallowed ground, and piss on its grave.

I am reminded of Dickens:

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

The Imperfect Storm

America finds itself in the hold of several substantial challenges — the Imperfect Storm.

Chief amongst them are the following:

 1. The Pandemic

 2. The economic impact of the Pandemic

 3. The civil unrest in our cities

 4. The #DefundPolice v Black Lives Matter confrontation

 5. Government response to diminished tax revenues

 6. The Election

I call this witch’s brew of challenges the Imperfect Storm. It will test us, but we will pass the test. There may be extra innings.
