CEO Performance Appraisal

Big Red Car here.  Going to be another nice day here in the ATX.  Why not?

So The Boss was visiting with one of his CEO pals and the subject turned to the issue of performance appraisal.  CEO performance appraisal.  This particular CEO is working for a well developed company that is clearly successful and seemingly has a Board of Directors that is well constituted and attentive to their duties.

The Character Traits and Skills of the Successful CEO — Organization

Big Red Car here.  Another great day in the ATX and why not?  So we’ve been chatting about what makes a successful CEO, those critical character traits and skills that seem to be possessed by those rare beasties.  Things that others can emulate and copy on their way to success.  [Hey, “monkey see” “monkey do” is a legitimate personal growth strategy, haha, Big Red Car.]

C Level Employment Agreement — Parting Shots

Big Red Car here.  Another lovely day in the ATX.  Cool morning and hot afternoon.  Yesterday not so hot with a nice cloud cover and a bit of rain.

Big Red Car here.  Well, The Boss is back from Santa Fe and the oppressive heat of July is here to stay.  Haha, Big Red Car, stop feeling sorry for yourself, you’re in the ATX and that’s all good.

So The Boss was comforting one of his CEO pals who was feeling a bit blue having been the victim of a bit of chicanery and treachery made perhaps all the worst because it emanated from one of his former star mentees.  Oh, such is life.  You will meet your knaves and treachery in life and business.  Recognize them.

Fourth of July, Santa Fe Style

Big Red Car here.  Going to be a great day in the ATX.  And why not?  Hell, it’s Friday and Fridays are good for everyone.

The Boss is in Santa Fe and was going on and on about how they celebrate the Fourth in Santa Fe.  Yeah, the Big Red Car did not get to make the trip so the Big Red Car is already sick and tired hearing about it.

The Character Traits and Skills of the Successful CEO — PLANNING

Big Red Car here.  Things are going swimmingly in the ATX.  On Earth as it is in Texas, ya’ll!

So The Boss has been pontificating a bit on the character traits and skills of the successful CEO and today wanted me to ponder the issue of planning.  Because planning, Old Sport, is an essential skill of successful CEOs. Thus sayeth the Big Red Car on this bright and sunny morning.
