Defense Wins Ball Games

On Saturday, the University of North Carolina defeated Georgia Tech in a tightly contested, fierce conference game in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Every ACC game is a vicious fight, in this instance made moreso because Georgia Tech beat the Heels for the last two years, injecting blood into the water.

The final score was 88-65 which qualifies as a “thrashing,” but the score doesn’t really describe how the Tarheels won. They won with their defense. Continue reading

Things That Require Saying

In no particular order or importance:

 1. You cannot take any admin seriously on the whole Pandemic Hustle if they are admitting 2,000,000 illegal aliens into the country along the Southern Border untested and unvaxxed.

If the Border Patrol catches 2MM, then there are probably 4MM when those who evaded capture are counted in and everyone is saying that 30-40% are infected.

The policy of inviting illegal aliens to break the law by a sitting President is reprehensible, but ignoring their Pandemic status is irresponsible. I think this rises to an impeachable offense.

No President gets to decide which laws to enforce. He/she swears an oath to enforce all the damn laws.

 2. You cannot watch the blundered Afghanistan evacuation and not call for the firing of those involved in its planning.

It was a total jug fuck — technical military jargon suggesting an unprofessional endeavor.

Let’s retire this guy. He can get a job as a Walmart greeter. Has a nice air of authority.

Electric Vehicles Heating Up

The Age of the Electric Vehicle is upon us in case you have been asleep, Rip Van Tesla.

EV is no longer a novelty racket run by a guy with a joint in his hand named Elon Musk and Tesla. Everybody is getting in the game.

Ford Motor Company, founded in 1903 in Detroit, Michigan by Henry Ford, is in the game. Continue reading

Crazy Things Mama Said

In 1961, the Shirelles recorded a song titled, “Mama Said.” It was part of their Sing to the Trumpets and Strings album. [The best music in the history of America was recorded in the 1960s when I was in high school. Truth.]

The Shirelles could sing, but they could really move.

Austin By God Texas — Chips, Dips, Tesla, and Tech

One of the things we learned during the Pandemic’s early days before we became obsessed by lockdowns and mandates was that the United States had a great number of strategic industries in which our supply lines started in China, thereby making us vulnerable to the whims of an enemy.

Yes, I said an ENEMY.

Chief amongst these issues was CHIPS — meaning advanced logic semiconductors.

Couple of semiconductor chips waiting for the guacamole.

The issue was simple — in the event of an emergency, China could control the flow of chips to the United States and a chip shortage could have a devastating impact on the nation. Continue reading

The INSURRECTION

About a year ago, the US experienced an INSURRECTION, right?

An insurrection is a riot, revolt, rebellion, or resistance against civil authority or a government.

Did the events of 6 January 2020 constitute an insurrection? It depends upon whom you ask. Continue reading

Electric Vehicles — the Dirty Little Secret

We are on the verge of great changes in the EV space. More car manufacturers are delivering actual units, more charging stations, and older vehicles are getting enough miles to smoke out the idiosyncrasies of EVs.

Mercedes Benz concept car the Vision EQXX that will be able to run 650 miles between charges. Game changer?
