Sequestration + 2
Big Red Car here. What a day — bluebird, not a cloud in the sky. Crisp, cool.
But all is not well in the Big Red Car’s world. In one word: SEQUESTRATION.

Big Red Car here. Been out for an early run this morning. Got stopped for not having a current registration. The Boss had put it in the glove compartment — when was the last time you wore gloves, driving gloves I guess?
The policeman was quite understanding and said to get it on the windshield and did not write The Boss a ticket. Got me thinking about the legitimate role of government and how government regulates itself.
Big Red Car here. Bluebird day in the ATX. Cold, clear and some top down today.
Taking the top down is like “bowing” to the big Texas sky.
Big Red Car here. Tonight the President will address us and provide us with his view of the state of our Union.
Lately, he seems unable to get a grasp on reality, so I thought I might give him a couple of talking points that he can work into his speech.
Big Red Car here. So I am waiting for the sun to come out again. Waiting for that sunny day.
It got me thinking about all kinds of dark subjects. Like the debate on who should be taking the 3:00 AM phone call in the White House.
Big Red Car here. One of the most important things in life is to be engaged in the right issues.
The Boss was chattering to a friend of his about how the President does not seem to be engaged in the critical issues of jobs and the economy.
Big Red Car here. Sad day today, Ed Koch — former Mayor of New York City — has died at 88 years old.
The Boss speaks highly of Ed Koch. Hizzoner was an original among a big band of NYC originals.
Big Red Car here. The Boss was watching the Benghazi Congressional hearings with one eye yesterday and listened to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s performance before the Senate and House committees investigating the Benghazi murders.
Secretary Clinton said with seemingly great emotion: “What difference, at this point, does it make?”
