The Simple Things

Big Red Car here. Ahhh, the ATX and the sweet days after Thanksgiving.

We’ve got the sunshine, the balmy weather and the great life. It’s 58F headed to 78F. Pretty damn nice, y’all.

On Earth as it is in Texas!

In the days after Thanksgiving when we are filled to overflowing with turkey and gratitude it is a good time to celebrate the simple things in life which are often the most important things in life.

Family, a nice place to live (not just living in Austin, Texas) and a damn good dog. It really doesn’t take more than that. Well, other than the bougainvillea.

Family

Love them all because they are the only ones who will take you back when you really screw up or conversely they are the ones you will always take back even when they screw up.

This is the last Thanksgiving portrait of My Perfect Daughter as a single woman. Next year at this time, she will be married.

Damn good dog

There is only one real objective in life — becoming the man your dog thinks you are. Here is a picture of a damn good dog, Bella. Bella is half pointer and half Lab. She is the sweetest dog ever.

Please note the cushions arranged in defensive posture to preclude certain dogs from lounging on them. She has her own cushion.

Now, if only there was a picture of the Big Red Car. Haha, you crack me up, Big Red Car.

But, hey, what the Hell do I really know anyway? I”m just a Big Red Car.
