Kamala Harris — How And Why Did She Lose The Election?

Contrary to the Dems, the pundits, and the Dem lap dog media, the election was not as close as it was anticipated and reported to be. In fact, Kamala Harris suffered a substantial beatdown not able to equal Joe Biden’s 2020 performance in a single county in any state.

Turn the page, baby.

Donald Trump won the White House, the popular vote, carried every battleground state, and broke the vaunted Blue Wall whilst the Republicans gained control of the Senate and retained the House. Boom. That is a win for the ages. Continue reading

Get Out The Crowd

Most politicians work on getting out the vote, driving the voters in their party to the polls to vote for them. In the USA we will only see 60-70% of registered voters cast a vote — a bloody inexcusable miserable performance — so if you can get YOUR voters out, you can win.

BTW, believe it or not, there are still millions of “eligible voters” who are unregistered and every year a new crop of voters becomes eligible to vote.

But, this post today is not about GOTV (get out the vote), but the seeming war of crowd sizes and the lengths that candidates will go to brag about their crowd size. Continue reading

Day One

I keep hearing the Dem presidential nominee for President, our current Vice President since January 2021, say she is going to “fix” things like inflation and immigration as soon as she is elected . . . . . on Day One.

“Day One, baby. Just vote for me and I will fix all the problems me and Joe created on Day One. Come on, y’all.” Imagine this in a faux Southern accent.

Senators Running For President

On the mournful day after Representative Eric Swalwell pulled the plug on his 2020 campaign, your Big Red Car is taken with the behavior of Senators running for President.

Here is the candidate on The View in better days. He is a pleasant, fresh faced chap from California and I am overtaken with sorrow at his decision.

They — the Senators — change. The second they announce for President the behavior of Senate candidates change.

It is hard to be a successful candidate for President, if you have served in the Senate, because you have a track record upon which to run away from to be held accountable.

Congresswoman AOC @ SXSW Interview

Big Red Car here in the ATX wherein we are in the midst of SXSW. [To be cool, please call it, “South By”, but you already knew this, right?]

So, yesterday, we had Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez speak for more than an hour during an interview. AOC! AOC! AOC!

I will not editorialize as to what I do or do not think about it because we are going to interview Her Highness in the raw.

If you want to listen to her comments, here they are in their entirety.

Spartacus Speaks – An Exclusive Interview

Senator Cory Booker, Democrat of New Jersey, sat down with the Big Red Car in Zilker Park in Austin By God Texas along the banks of the dammed Colorado River known as Town Lake or Lady Bird Lake for a free ranging interview about his Senatorial career and his decision to run for President of the United States.

“Welcome to Austin, Senator. Have you ever been here before?”

“Yes, but I can’t remember when. What a lovely city. Not to be critical, but I think you need a good washing. Sorry.”

“Well, I actually need a good paint job, if the truth were known. But, we’re here to talk about you and your decision to run for President. Where would you like to start?”

Booker cleared his throat, turned a powerful profile to the skyline and said, “Let’s begin with my upbringing.”
