Israel v Iran — The Long Distance Love Affair Gone Awry

Israel and the United States have steadfastly said for years that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.

They view a nuclear Iran — a belligerent country whose leadership constantly chants “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” — as an existential threat to the survival of Israel and as a trigger for a gigantic regional war in the Middle East — read a prelude to WWIII.

[Step back a second, amigo — for decades Iran has been the largest exporter of terrorism most of it targeted on Israel via the proxies of Hamas, Hezbollah, Syrian terror groups, and the Houthis who have wreaked havoc on Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq. Recently the Israelis have dealt with all of these groups.

Is there any doubt that if Iran developed nuclear weapons it would in any way hesitate to use them against Israel?]

In addition, Iran has an advanced missile, drone, and cruise missile program with a large stockpile of such weapons. This is some serious shit.

Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran — he may no longer be with us as of right now, but he won’t be with us much longer in any event.

The Greater Good?

Comes before us today, the issue of whether democracy is really organized to deliver the greater good for the greatest number of people?

WTF are you talking about, Big Red Car?

Fair question, dear reader. Let’s examine the case of the Minnesota Girls’ AAAA Softball Championship Tournament and the winning team’s transgender pitcher.

Leadership And Artificial Intelligence

In life and in leadership there are things we know or we don’t know that bear on our ability to be a successful leader.

We know what we know.

We sometimes know what we don’t know.

We always don’t know what we don’t know.

The limitations of this last one — not knowing what we don’t know — can be fatal.

If one approaches the issue of running/leading a business with a framework of Vision, Mission, Strategy, Tactics, Objectives, Values, and Culture (which is a very good way to run a business) then what we know becomes very important. Continue reading

Spider’s Web — Ukraine Deep Strike Into Russia

On 1 June 2025, Ukraine successfully struck — operation code named “Spider’s Web” — a sophisticated, simultaneous, massive blow against Russian strategic air capabilities using 117 individually controlled FPV (first person view) attack drones hitting 5 Russian air bases including ones in eastern Siberia — more than 2600 miles from Ukraine — and astride the Russia – China border.

Ukrainian reports indicate the strike was more than 18 months in planning and caught the Russians completely by surprise.

Kudzu and Government Regulations

Comes today the issue of Trump 2.0 fighting to lessen the burden of government regulation and what that looks like in real life. It is not a sexy subject, but it is essential to allowing the American business genius to prosper. A growing body of regulation is never a benefit to business.

Lots of prospective projects are smothered in their cribs by regulation.

I think of unnecessary and overly broad government regulation like kudzu, that infamous Southern invasive species that grows and kills everything.

If you have travelled in the South, you have seen kudzu smothering the landscaping and killing the hosts that carry it. It was introduced into the United States as a potential soil stabilizer in the late 1800s. Continue reading

Donald J Trump Did Not Go To Harvard

Today we explore the growing confrontation between the Trump administration and Harvard University over money. It’s always about money. the media will tell you it’s about “free speech” but, trust me, it’s all about the money.

It’s damn hard to get the real story from the media amidst all the rock throwing. It’s slightly complicated.

Harvard, who is Haaaaaaarvarhd, Big Red Car?

Harvard University, founded in 1636 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States. It is where higher education in the Colonies first took root as a religious school. Continue reading

The Russian Economy: A War-Fueled Mirage Teetering on Collapse

Hypothesis: Russia is in deep economic trouble. Putin is bluffing about his continued ability to make war in Ukraine. He’s bluffing. Here’s my case for that assertion and the impending economic collapse of Russia.

Fuck Putin and the horse he rode in on.

Buckle up, because Russia’s economy is a house of cards propped up by war spending and oil fumes, and it’s wobbling hard. Continue reading

The Power of Pickleball in Toms River, New Jersey

Comes now the weird tale of pickleball and a second century church in Toms River, New Jersey, a city of 100,000 and 75% white and, apparently, keen on pickleball. Who knew?

Buckle up, folks, it’s your old pal, the Big Red Car, and I’m about to run over the boneheaded scheme cooking in Toms River, New Jersey.

The township’s council, in a move that reeks of small-town stupidity, wants to seize 11 acres from Christ Episcopal Church — dating from the US Civil War — via eminent domain to build a fancy-pants waterfront park with 10 pickleball courts, a soccer field, and a skate park. Yeah, you heard that right—pickleball courts!

This isn’t just a land grab; it’s a gutless attack on a church’s mission, and I’m here to call it out for the pathetic power trip it is. Toms River’s council needs to get its head out of its collective rear and ditch this dopey plan before it crashes and burns. Continue reading
