Organizing to Raise Capital for the Startup and Small Business

Big Red Car here.  Oh boy, what a day!  Here in the ATX all is good.  On Earth as it is in Texas, ya’ll.

The Boss has been to a couple of meetings already and was giving a young startup CEO a bit of his accumulated wisdom on how to organizeh is affairs to hit the fundraising trail.

“Get a tin cup!”  Haha, Big Red Car, you are a wag.  The Boss did not tell the CEO to get a tin cup.  Well, yes, I guess he did.

The Character Traits and Skills of the Successful CEO — Organization

Big Red Car here.  Another great day in the ATX and why not?  So we’ve been chatting about what makes a successful CEO, those critical character traits and skills that seem to be possessed by those rare beasties.  Things that others can emulate and copy on their way to success.  [Hey, “monkey see” “monkey do” is a legitimate personal growth strategy, haha, Big Red Car.]

One of those elements of success at the CEO level is the ability to organize things in an orderly manner and to harness the clarity of that organization to provide insights as to how to proceed — how to take the next step.  In many ways, organization is the prelude to preparation.  Preparation is prelude to action.

Organize, prepare, act — hmmm, sounds similar to crawl, walk, run.  They are related, Old Sport.  Oh, yes, they are.

Big Red Car here.  Turning out to be a pretty day here in the ATX and why not?  Bit of sunshine peeking through after some drizzle yesterday.

Crawl. Walk. Run. and the Impatience of the Internet

Big Red Car here.  What a day in the ATX — brilliant sunshine, not a cloud in the sky.  Air clear and bright.  Nice and cool.  On Earth as it is in Texas!

So The Boss has been visiting with several of his CEO coaching clients and I overheard a conversation in which The Boss used the phrase:  Crawl, walk, run.  Hmmm, wonder what he meant by that?  The Boss has his favorite sayings indeed.
