In about 25 hours, there will be a new sheriff in town when Donald J Trump again takes the oath of office as President of the United States after a four year long saga of indomitable effort to vindicate his 2020 loss. It is the most remarkable and memorable political redemption story in American history.
“Fight, fight, fight!”
I must admit I did not see it coming four years ago when Joe Biden “won” the election. Never saw the possibility that Trump would overcome the coordinated and orchestrated power of the lawfare assembled against him. Clearly, it was the greatest accumulation of corrupt legal power ever assembled against a single citizen.
Trump beat them all. Out thought them, out fought them. Triumphed by sheer force of personality in an extraordinary demonstration of resolve and perseverance.
The Trump Animal Spirit, Big Red Car, really?
Yes, dear reader. Apparently, Trump has actually been President since November 6 2024 as nothing has happened without Trump providing guidance.
As an example – Hamas and Israel had a year and a quarter to agree to a hostage exchange and ceasefire, but didn’t until the week before the Trump Inauguration because Trump exploded with this little gem: “If Hamas doesn’t release those hostages by Inauguration Day, there will be Hell to pay.”
Guess what? Both Hamas and Israel agreed to a hostage exchange – cease fire in Gaza and the US Department of State said the Trump team’s involvement was “critical.”
The contrast is so extreme
In President Biden (or whoever was actually running the country) we had a weak leader, one whose public utterances were watched with bated breath to view his latest gaffe.
He projected “grandpa-is-losing-it-and-just-can’t-be-allowed-to-drive-a-car-FFS” fragility, cognitive decline, physical weakness, lack of focus, brain fog, and a certain brittle meanness.
[Just for the record, close your eyes — do you recall when Joe was going to be the Great Uniter? You’re so vexingly stupid, America. You believed that nonsense. Shame on all of us.]
He surrounded himself with equally flawed individuals in his Cabinet and on his staff. All of whom covered for his disastrous and obvious decline.
The greatest indictment is that Joe Biden and his admin were not doers. In Washington, 98% of the people are bullshitters and 2% are doers.
Look at Pistol Pete Buttigieg, Secretary of Transportation, tasked three years ago with extending rural Internet accessibility and funded with $42,000,000,000 to make it happen. Pete, babe, $42B and 3 years, cut it loose! Yeah! Show ’em, stud!
How many rural citizens benefitted from this ambitious and well-funded program?
NONE, ZERO —
not one rural Internet connection in 3 bloody years.
This right here is the Biden admin at its finest.
Of course, Pete is a white gay man, married to another white gay man, and they have a baby together — twins actually, a boy and a girl. So, from that perspective the Department of Trans is a great and accomplished undertaking.

Leaning forward in your government saddle
In the military they will say about an aggressive soldier that he “leans forward in his saddle.” This is not something ever used to describe the Biden administration.
The Biden Bunch had a year to decide WTF to do with TikTok. You will recall TikTok’s parent, DanceByte, is compromised by Chinese Communist influence and control and the US Congress passed a law that the American subsidiary (170,000,000 American users) had to be divested by 19 January 2025.
Biden had a year to do something and did nothing.
Trump, before even being inaugurated, has already indicated a willingness to issue an Executive Order on Day One to extend the time period in which TikTok has to be sold to an American owner, but now Trump wants the United States to be entitled to 50% of the ownership in return for this concession. That’s the way a businessman thinks.
A bias for action, the right action
In the Biden admin, things were kicked down the road. In a Trump administration, there was and will be a bias toward taking action — that 2% doers thing again.
The Biden admin/the President himself doesn’t know what it/he has done.
Speaker Johnson recounts a recent conversation he had with President Biden wherein he confronted him about delaying all natural gas exports to Europe. A critical consideration as the US/Nato tries to wean Germany, Austria, and the rest of Europe off the Russian gas teat.
President Biden denied he had ever signed such an Executive Order.
When Johnson confronted the President with the actual document, the Executive Order banning export of natural gas to Europe, Biden didn’t realize he had, in fact, done exactly that.

Fine, dear reader.
Throughout the country, you can smell, taste, see, and hear the difference. There is a freshet sweeping the land and it is the return to common sense and a bias toward effective action. The 2% is going to be in charge again.
