The Musings of the Big Red Car

American Naval Might — an unparalleled force

Big Red Car here.  Been out for a quick cruise to get some coffee this morning and stumbled upon a truly awe inspiring picture and wanted to share it with you.

This is what raw naval power looks like.  Take a look at this picture and click on it.  This is the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.  CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO SEE ITS MAJESTY.

There in Norfolk — the world’s largest naval installation — you will see from left to right the following ships:

USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69)

USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77)

USS Enterprise (CVN 65)

USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75)

USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72)

This is how we are able to project military force and humanitarian assistance beyond the horizon.  This is how we able to surround Iran and other potential belligerent nations.

From one fine piece of machinery to another — Go Navy!

But, hey, what the Hell do I really know?  I’m just a Big Red Car.

Be kind to yourself and tonight say a little prayer of thanks for the US Navy.
