The Musings of the Big Red Car

Understanding The Russian Negotiations #2

At the Ukraine – Russo War of 2022 negotiations in Saudi Arabia two days ago, the Russians fielded an experienced, unyielding, and tough as nails negotiating team as I wrote in: Understanding The Russian Negotiations #1.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio — in his new job as America’s top diplomat for less than 3 weeks — asked Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to stop attacking Ukrainian energy plants as a show of good faith.

Seems reasonable, no?

Sergey Lavrov — 10 years Russian Ambassador to the United Nations and 21 years as Foreign Minister, fluent in English — replied that Russia did not attack any Ukrainian energy plants, no power generating plants, nothing.

Obviously, the entire world knows this is blatantly untrue.

That night Russia unleashed an attack package of 150 +/- drones, missiles, and rockets against Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

This is who the Russians are and with whom the inexperienced Americans are dealing. Inexperience is not fatal; it just means you have to study harder to close the gap and to diligently understand who our adversaries truly are — in this case, thugs.

The Russians are the unreliable and lying thugs of the Budapest Memorandum, Minak #1/2, Chechnya #1/2, Georgia, Moldova, Syria, and Ukraine #1/2. They are men who destroy entire cities, raze them to the ground, kill babies, children, women, elderly, and civilians whilst pretending they are a civilized nation.

Hang in there, America, it’s going to be a long, hard slog to get to the final agreement.

The Russians are playing the world and are using this time to rearm, re-equip, build additional units, and to train to continue the assault on innocent Ukraine.

Donald J Trump may believe he and Putin have a “special relationship,” (totally delusional in my view) but he will learn what a brutal dictator spawn of the Devil Putin truly is.

But, hey, what the Hell do I really know anyway? I’m just a Big Red Car. Good luck and God bless America.
