Thanks, Sigma. The BRC likes compliments from PhDs. Particularly smart ones. Thank you.

Good US Federal budget at about the, what, 8th grade? But a biggie is, what you gave is information several grades above what we get from the professional newsies, that is, where professional means they get paid to tell us this stuff.

And each bunch of newsies bent their story to try to get attention from their target audience. So, from the Hannity, Coulter, etc. bunch we hear that Trump chickened out and let the Democrats and Ryan have their way. From Chucky (dry you eyes, wash and raise your glasses, and start to see clearly) Schumer, we get a proud statement that Trump was not involved. What we don't get is anything like objective, adult level information.

Somehow I doubt that even this "$1.1 trillion" CR is very close to reality: E.g., the little slap on the hand of Assad took 60 US Tomahawk cruise missiles at, IIRC, $1.5 million each for, let me do this one between my ears, $90 million. And Chubby in Ping Pong Yang may cost us some more. I suspect that the $90 million won't be voted on explicitly by Congress but will be handled some way or other.

Net, BRC, with his top down, needing a paint job, knocks the socks off 99.999% of the rest of the news sources.

A Lesson: There's a need for objective, adult level news as information, and now there is a means: BRC and others with, fantastic, the Internet!

.
So, what is a CR (continuing resolution) and how does it work?

It's part of the US budget process when nobody does their work on time.

Read about it.
