Success should be celebrated.
Big Red Car here on a sunny Friday in the ATX, on Earth as it is in Texas, y’all!
So, we are speaking about how a startup celebrates the victories – the successes – it enjoys during those formative years.
Why, Big Red Car?
Why do we celebrate success, you ask?
1. Success casts its shadow into the future. When you build on success, you begin to expect success. Your expectations inform and guide your actions.
2. People like success. They gravitate toward successful enterprises and successful leaders.
3. You will have plenty of failures in a startup; you have to balance the bitter and the sweet.
4. How you celebrate success flavors the company culture. It gives worth to hard work.
How, Big Red Car?
Simpler still — all hands, a recitation of the success in front of the tribe by a tribal warrior, recognition of those involved, and a reward.
Most importantly – create a memory. A muscle memory for the organization to build upon in the future. Create a talisman, something you can give to team members to memorialize their role in the success.
So, there you have it. Success – the breakfast of champions.
But, hey, what the Hell do I really know anyway? I’m just a Big Red Car.
