Gut and data is how risk is managed. It is the proportions which are challenging.

Great tale JLM, A mentor of mine (which if you do not have a non invested advisor you are a fool) once talked to me about “Half lives” in decisions that balances data and gut. Both physics guys this worked well, you gain data to bring the gap/risk down between idea and the point of a go/no go choice. Like the Half life of radio-activity the to points will never be zero. At some point you leap then work it!

Do you have a flipside story where it didn’t work out but the team held together, overcoming a touch of poor luck.

And, this begs for details. Would borrowing some cash have helped push the business to even greater growth?
