100%. This was a big topic when I was at HP, and we had a process for ensuring alignment during the planning stage of Objectives. It was called Hoshin planning, and I wrote a bit about MBOs here http://startupmanagement.org/2013/10/09/dont-abolish-mbos/. That preceded The Balanced Scorecard movement which is really all about alignment throughout the organization.

btw- you made it on the front page of the new Startup Management. Now, with an expanded scope of coverage, I can include more of your posts. http://startupmanagement.org/

I have been following you website, you are crushing it. Keep it up.

BRC may have exaggerated it all a bit. Usually jeans and big rubber boots with eye protection.

Btw, you looked spiffy in your suit as seen in an earlier post this week. Now if you pressure wash dressed like that I'm really impressed!
