Why things are better in Texas?

Big Red Car here.  Just getting ready to go to bed — well, hunker down in the driveway for a Big Red Car.  But it’s a nice cool night in the ATX.

I like to surf the web before I retire and I saw this article here.

Why are things better in Texas?

Because Texas and its Legislature take care of business.  In this article you will see that the Texas Senate has passed a two year budget.  Something our Federal Senate has been unable to do for the last three years.

Remember the Texas Legislature is only in session every other year — a damn good system because there is only 90 days of mischief every two years.  That make Texas have to get down to business.

Then reflect on why stuff gets done in Texas and not in Washington, DC.  It is really that damn simple.

But, hey, what the Hell do I know anyway?  I’m just a happy Big Red Car living in the ATX.  On Earth as it is in Texas!

Let me know if I can help in any way. We want everyone from Chicago to move here. Now.

Tell her to feel free to email or call me if she needs any help or intelligence gathering.

  1. Good morning BRC. Recently read a brief biography of Sam Houston. An amazing American story and one I encourage everyone to read. A lot parallels with the history of Texas and this nation (and why it’s a “Whole ‘nother country”)

There is much to learn from Sam Houston. Texas retains that same spirit even now.

Texas v California is one of the most illuminating comparisons as it relates to governing philosophy and comparative outcomes.

It started with guys like Sam Houston.
