It’s a bit too early to be a lame duck 2.5 years into the term. Typically, that happens in the last few months, if I recall right.

This reminds of the analogy of a hypothetical startup founder who is a rookie and isn’t growing-up, but at least they have their VCs and advisors to mentor them, and hopefully they grow-up. With Pres. Obama, I’m not sure I’m seeing signs of “growing-up”. Who mentors a President?
