Penzys Spices and Stupid Spice

If you are old enough to recall the British girl group The Spice Girls then you will recall:

Melanie Brown – Mel – Scary Spice

Melanie Chisholm – Melanie C — Sporty Spice

Emma Bunton – Baby Spice

Geri Halliwell – Ginger Spice

Victoria Beckham – Posh Spice

Their mantra was “girl power” and they sold more than 100,000,000 records resulting in more than $800,000,000 in gross revenue including endorsement deals and merchandise.

Stupid Spice

There is a new member of the Spice Girls, Bill Penzey, who likes to be called Stupid Spice.

Stupid is the Chief Executive Officer of an outfit called “Penzeys Spices” with 53 stores nationwide, but he’s really a political activist who dabbles in spices and hate.

Bill “Stupid Spice” Penzey, CEO of Penzeys Spices of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, a liberal leftist Trump hater who puts his money where his mouth is at Penzeys Spices, the victim of a virulent backlash.

Stupid is a politically active and engaged 58 year old businessman who spent more than $700,000 in anti-Trump and anti-Trump supporter Facebook ads cheerleading the impeachment of President Donald J Trump and a tsunami of adolescent name calling aimed at Republicans at large.

Most recently, Stupid Spice roared out via email to his Penzeys Spices email database an “All Republicans Are Racist” marketing campaign part of what is known as “choose love by supporting rabid hatred” marketing.

This clown made MLK day into “Republicans are Racist” weekend.

So what happened, Big Red Car?

Turns out Republicans are spice aficionados and deserted Penzeys Spices in droves — a drove turns out to be more than 40,000 persons.

Now, Stupid Spice is doggedly luring erstwhile spice users back into the imbalanced and bigoted tent with an offer of discounted gift cards. You can get a $50 gift card for $35 which shows you the exact cost of being Stupid.

Stupid says he’s in it to win it and he doesn’t care what it costs to be able to spew invective at Republicans and former Presidents. [Invective is different than Ivermectin. Thought that needed to be said. Sorry.]

I think Stupid Spice is bluffing and does care, so I personally am boycotting Penzeys Spices.

I buy my spices at Sams Warehouse and don’t really care about the politics of the roasted coriander or the immigration status of the Mexican Oregano.

But, that’s just me.

I am sort of intrigued to see how many Republicans used to buy Penzeys Spices, so I will be boycotting Penzeys Spices though I don’t normally embrace Cancel Culture.

But, hey, what the Hell do I really know anyway? I’m just a Big Red Car. Be well and remember “variety is the spice of life” so get your spices at Sams Club.
