As a VC, I like to invest at lower valuations-so if there is an uncapped or capped note, I root for the startup to limp into series A because I want a lower value. At the same time, I wouldn’t write a check unless I believed in the company-and if I have money in the deal I need to do all I can to help the team succeed.
