I think the winter and Christmas, in particular,is the time of better feelings for all of mankind. I can’t account for the Southern Hemisphere. After all, Christmas has its own body of song and a lovely soundtrack.

Who doesn’t like Christmas carols? And a roaring fire? And a Christmas tree?

Summer, on the other hand, seems the Devil’s time with the heat and the…well…the freakin’ heat is enough.

As William Tecumseh Sherman (America’s first war criminal) said: “If I owned Hell and Texas, I’d live in Hell and rent out Texas.”
