Yesterday I posted about the horrific reveleations about the conduct of the US Agency for International Development — please focus on that word “International.”
Today, comes this nugget: USAID funded POLITICO — a left leaning “domestic” media property — to the tune of $8,200,000 over the last 4 years.
Whoa, Big Red Car, what’s “international” about Politico?
Ahhh, dear reader, there it is, isn’t it? Let’s delve into Politico for a second, shall we?
1. Politico was founded in 2007 by Albritton Communications (Robert Albritton), John Harris (Wash Po writer), and Johh VenderHei.
Albritton Communications is a big time media company owning numerous print, radio, television, and internet media properties.
In 2021, Politico sold to Axel Springer SE, a German firm that also publishs Business Insider and BILD. The deal was priced at more than $1B. Nice payday.
2. Politico from its inception was to focus on non-partisan, inside baseball politics for the professional politician, lobbyist, legislators, and journalists. It was essentially a trade publication. The secondary market was the highly informed and politically active citizen and academics in the political science racket.
In addition to being “non-partisan” Politico was to provide “both sides” in any discussion and relied upon direct access to influential policy and lawmakers from both parties. Again, it was for the pros.
Sounds reasonable, no?
3. In reality what Politico became was a left leaning surrogate for the Democrat party and a shill for Joe Biden and his many failings.
Politico echoed the canard that the Hunter Biden laptop from Hell was actually classic Russian disinformation.
Politico was at the front of the crowd publicizing the absurd “51 Intelligence Community professionals” letter on the eve of the 2019 presidential election.
Inasmuch as it turns out the FBI has said the Hunter Biden laptop had nothing to do with Russian disinformation, one is forced to ask, “At what level of journalistic integrity did Politico operate that they were able to print as true something that was now clearly a lie?”
What independent sourcing provided these stalwart and professional journalists the confidence to print those lies?
So what happened, Big Red Car?
What happened, dear reader, is when Joe Biden ascended to the throne in 2020 (and his minions gained control of the USAID checkbook) he appointed a notorious lefty political operative, Samantha Power, to head USAID and she began to fund a number of wildly inappropriate leftist causes including Politico.
Politico received zero USAID funding until Biden was sworn in and thereafter they received a steady flow of funds totaling more than $8,000,000.
Remember, dear reader, this is not funding for a famine in Sudan or a hurricane and the collapse of government in Haiti, this is funding for an organization located in Arlington, Virginia that is sympathetic to the regime funding it. How does that smell to you?
One can only imagine what Politico agreed to do to earn that funding given their leftist sentiment.
Bottom line it, Big Red Car, it’s going to be 75F and we want to golf
Fine, dear reader, here it is:
1. USAID is a bloody slush pool from which the Biden admin and the management of the USAID funded media efforts to support the Biden regime and to oppose any of its political rivals, specifically including this Trump 2.0 character.
2. There was nothing even remotely “international” related to funding Politico. It’s a domestic political rag.
This is why Trump 2.0 and the Musk Man/Head of DOGE need to dig into every single bloody department of the bloated Jabba the Hutt US government and root out all the nonsense. It’s dangerous, it’s illegal, and it’s a waste of your tax dollars.
Know this: This USAID shit storm is only the beginning. It will get way, way, way worse.
