In reply to JLM.

On the women, IIRC, he has said that all the women were wonderful people and that the breakups were his fault for working too hard on his business.

So, sure, as Barbara Walters observed, maybe the third time is the one or some such.

He has written a stack of books, but maybe he never read the one I want to write, Women 101 for Dummies -- Men, that is, Volume 2 of Girls 101 for Dummies -- Boys. Too often, by the time men understand women, it's a bit too late to do much but write a book.

Ah, maybe the woman he should have married first was the one behind his right arm at his Pensacola rally -- she was smiles all the time with, depending on what Trump said, bigger smiles some of the time. She was really taken with him.

From the books, not yet written, there can be a secret scorecard:

(1) Does she continually volunteer a lot of information about what she thinks and feels about you, your relationship, and the rest of her life?

(2) Does she clearly, plainly, demonstratively care about you, in both little ways and big?

(3) Does she respect you?

(4) Does she respond to you, e.g., willingly, eagerly, plainly answer questions and communicate in discussions?

(5) Is she really honest with you and does not lie to you or try to manipulate, dominate, exploit, or deceive you? Does she resent your successes and try to compete with you by sabotaging your successes?

(6) Can you really trust her? Does she really trust you?

(7) When the two of you are together, does she look at you and smile at you?

(8) Is she happy to see you and be with you?

(9) Is she really sincerely committed to your relationship, e.g., consciously, definitely, overtly wants to be a life partner with you? Or is she really just exploiting you and using your house as a base of operations and your car, computer, checkbook, etc. to pursue her own interests, really in conflict with your partnership, outside your relationship?

Poor scores on all of these are a really good way for him to spend the next decade or two in frustration trying to get to the wife he wanted before he finally gives up and walks out saying, "Frankly, my Dear, I don't give a damn.". It should never happen. For it to happen to a good man, she has to be a total idiot. But it happens, to lots of really good men; a lot of women are for current US society, just not up to it and, instead, look like just total idiots. That situation is much more common than men are prepared to expect. Maybe those women would have been fine 100, 100, or 10,000 years ago in some different home, village, or tribal setting but not okay now. Young men are so easily fooled -- the girls, from the crib, are just masters at eliciting supportive and protective emotions from strong men and easily can convincingly appear to be super sweet, sincere, genuine, lovable, loving, dedicated, darling, adorable, and precious where it is all at least 99 44/100% an act.

There is more, but poor scores on all of the secret scorecard items above are a biggie sign for him to look elsewhere, ASAP. But if he continues with her, then he needs one heck of a strong pre-nup.

.
There is a reason he has been married to three, exotic, beautiful women. Oh, you meant the politics thing? Sorry.

Donald Trump is a promoter who knows EXACTLY what he's doing.
