Handiwipes, hand sanitizer, disposable diapers, trash bags — one becomes totally anesthetized to it all very quickly plus they are always your little babies and nothing makes a baby happier than a clean, dry, powdered bottom.

I wish the rest of the world were so easy to satisfy.

Pro tip: now is the time to bank mad goodwill with the Beloved as your willingness to change diapers now will be write large and powerful for at least the next quarter century. The Voice of Experience.

You are a very lucky guy. Mine are all grown up, employed, independent and in SF and NYC.

I miss those sweet little, warm breathed babies.

Rex’s is the best food and prices in town. Trust me on this one. It will have food for adults and kids and locals. You cannot leave hungry. Killer Mac & Cheese.

Riggio’s and Mambo Italiano for Italian — both have great meatballs which is after all why we eat Italian anyway. Riggio’s has a fabulous, inexpensive huge salad bowl. Get the salad bowl for 2 for up to 4.

Beau Jo’s for hearty and filling pizza. Cujino’s used to be the play here but since they moved, I just haven’t had that magic pizza.

Smoke House BBQ on Lincoln Ave — the main drag — has free peanuts.

Stay away from some of the tonier joints as they can get very pricey. If you want to splurge for just you and one other — Cafe Diva is the place. Expensive but exquisite.

Listen closely here — you have to go to Winona’s for a cinnamon roll. This would be like going to Rome and passing on the Vatican. Go and eat one but bring a friend. They are huge and life changing.

We spent a couple of weeks around Christmas in Steamboat and it was the best we have ever had. There is something magic about drawing the family close and skiing

Of course, I cannot keep up with them any more. Life moves on. But there was a time, back in my prime, when I could smoke them all.
