The Lowly Letter of Intent

Big Red Car here in the ATX — 43F, light rain, ceiling at 300′ and no wind. Will be 64F before the day is over. Saturday will be high 70’s. No mention of snow.

So The Boss is talking to one of his brilliant CEOs and they were trying to figure out how the CEO would make an important change in the capital structure and ownership of his company. It had been bugging the CEO for months. Months. Finally, he brought it to The Boss and they chatted about it.

The White House’s War on Wisdom

BigRed Car here. It is 41F here in the ATX and the thermometer will not escape the 40’s today. Some solace is to be had with the knowledge it will again be in the 70’s by the weekend. It is a long time until the weekend. That is the reality of both the present and the future.

We are at war — not the global war on terror, mind you, which has been summarily dismissed by the wordsmiths in the White House who determine such things. We are, it seems, at war on wisdom. A White House war on wisdom. Continue reading

Situational Awareness

Big Red Car here. It is 34F here today and it is only going to get to 50F by afternoon. What’s going on, Mother Nature?

Luckily it will be 70F on Saturday and Sunday.
